How we select and explain deals

Our pages are discovery and comparison tools, not guarantees that every displayed product is the right choice for every shopper.

Editorial responsibility: Smart Shopping Deals is published by Cigma Solutions Private Limited. Buying guidance is prepared and maintained by the Smart Shopping Deals Editorial Team. This policy was reviewed on 21 October 2026.

1. Collect current listings

We use retailer-supplied product titles, images, identifiers, prices, reference prices and availability. We do not rewrite those facts to imply first-hand testing. Details can change after a page is generated, so the retailer page and final checkout screen remain the source of truth for the selected seller and variant.

2. Organise by shopping intent

Products are grouped into understandable categories so visitors can compare related items. Automated categorisation can occasionally be imperfect. We apply keyword exclusions to common mismatches and review reported errors instead of treating every search response as relevant.

3. Add practical buying guidance

Our buying guides explain checks such as compatibility, measurements, materials, warranty, capacity, service and safety. This guidance is written for our site and is separate from retailer descriptions. We distinguish comparison guidance from hands-on reviews and do not claim laboratory testing where none has taken place.

4. Treat discounts as context

A discount is calculated from the current selling price and the saving basis supplied with the offer. A high percentage is not proof that the product is good value, that the reference price was commonly charged, or that the selected size and colour have the same price. We therefore show rupee savings as context and repeatedly ask shoppers to compare equivalent models.

5. Keep commercial relationships visible

Retailer links may earn an affiliate commission. This does not increase the buyer's price. Manufacturers do not pay for a favourable description or guaranteed placement on the deal board. Sponsored or otherwise paid editorial content would be labelled clearly.

What “best” means on this site

When the budget finder is used, results are ranked from the available response using the filters chosen by the visitor, such as price, rating, brand, category and discount. In a buying-guide title, “best” means products worth comparing against the guide’s stated criteria and budget—not a claim that the first result is objectively best for everyone.

Updates and corrections

Automated prices are refreshed periodically and carry a price-checked time. Editorial guides are reviewed separately when requirements, product categories or our comparison method changes. If a page is sparse or a product detail is primarily retailer-supplied, we may keep it out of search indexing until it provides sufficient independent value.

Readers can report a wrong category, stale claim, broken link or factual correction through the contact page. Please include the page URL and the exact statement or product involved so we can investigate it.
